Terms of Service & License
These Terms are between you and Vedant Solanki, an individual based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, operating under the IdeaForgeLabs brand. They govern the Origo website, launch notifications, and the planned application, trial, purchase, license, updates, and support.
Prelaunch notice: Origo is not currently available to download or purchase. Product, trial, license, pricing, and refund terms described below are planned and will take effect only when the relevant product or checkout becomes available.
Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you use Origo for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.
Planned license grant
- Trial: Origo is planned to include a seven-day trial of the full app on first launch without payment.
- Pro: Origo is planned to offer a perpetual, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to the purchased major version on one active personal Mac you own or control. You will be able to deactivate that Mac and move the license to a replacement Mac you own or control.
- After the trial: without Pro, Origo is planned to continue in read-only mode. Discovery, security findings, previews, backups, restoration, unwiring, and Eject will remain available; new write operations may require Pro.
"Perpetual" means the purchased major version does not expire merely because time passes. It does not guarantee perpetual online services, provider availability, future operating-system compatibility, or support for future third-party changes.
Updates and compatibility
Pro is planned to include feature, bug-fix, security, and compatibility updates for the purchased major version for at least twelve months. There will be no automatic renewal. A future major version may be an optional paid upgrade; declining it will not disable the version already purchased. Origo will require macOS 15 Sequoia or later on an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer). Intel Macs will not be supported at launch.
Restrictions
You may not sell, rent, sublicense, publish, redistribute, or improperly share Origo or a key; use one personal license on more than one Mac at once; circumvent trial, entitlement, activation, or security controls; reverse engineer except where applicable law permits it; violate law or third-party rights; or interfere with licensing, updates, payment, or security systems.
Planned pricing and refunds
Origo Pro is planned as a one-time purchase of USD $29, unless a different price is clearly displayed when checkout opens. There will be no recurring subscription for this license. Checkout will be provided by the third-party Merchant of Record identified at checkout. It will be the seller for the payment transaction and will handle payment details, applicable taxes, receipts, refunds, and disputes under its own terms.
No purchase can currently be made, so no refund policy currently applies. The applicable purchase and refund terms will be published before checkout opens.
Your data and responsibilities
Once launched, Origo will read and, when you approve an operation, modify supported configuration files on your Mac. It is designed to preview supported changes and create a backup first, but you will remain responsible for reviewing changes, maintaining backups, protecting credentials, and confirming that connected services are suitable. Third-party services remain governed by their own terms, prices, privacy practices, and availability.
Ownership, suspension, and termination
Origo, its branding, software, design, and documentation are owned by IdeaForgeLabs or applicable licensors. These Terms grant a license, not ownership. We may suspend online licensing or terminate a license for a reversed or fraudulent payment, deliberate circumvention, or material breach. You may retain local data and use available restoration, unwiring, and Eject functions.
Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Origo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with every third-party service. Nothing excludes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IdeaForgeLabs and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss, loss of profits or opportunity, or loss of data or configuration. Total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the license giving rise to the claim, except where law does not permit that limit.
Changes
We may change Origo for security, compatibility, legal compliance, or product quality. Revised Terms will show a new date, with material changes highlighted where appropriate. A change does not retroactively remove a paid perpetual license except where necessary for fraud, law, or a material breach.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer rights or forums available where you live, courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India have exclusive jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us and allow thirty days for an informal attempt to resolve it.
