Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 July 2026 · Effective 31 July 2026

Origo is offered by Vedant Solanki, an individual based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, operating under the IdeaForgeLabs brand. Origo is a local-first Mac app preparing for launch. It requires no Origo account and is designed to send no product analytics, advertising data, or automatic crash reports.

Scope

This policy covers the Origo application, website, license activation, and support or feedback communications. AI clients, model providers, MCP servers, marketplaces, payment providers, and download hosts you use with Origo have their own privacy practices.

What Origo stores, and where

The canonical workspace at ~/.unified-agent/ holds server definitions, profiles, prompts, instructions, skills metadata, sync state, backups, and redacted activity records. Managed secret values are stored in macOS Keychain; supported configuration files receive references instead of secret values. Preferences, trial state, and license state are also stored locally.

What Origo never transmits

Origo does not collect or transmit prompt, instruction, or skill content; client configuration contents; API-key values; or MCP tool arguments and results for analytics, advertising, or profiling. The local routed-call record omits arguments and results. It may contain operational metadata such as client, server, tool, duration, outcome, and byte counts.

Network connections Origo can make

These services receive the information technically necessary to complete the request, such as an IP address, request metadata, credential, license key, or privacy-preserving device label. Origo does not add your local configuration, prompts, secrets, or routed content to licensing or update requests.

Website, payments, licensing, support, and feedback

The website uses no advertising cookies or behavioral advertising. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request and security logs. When purchases open, they will be handled by the third-party Merchant of Record identified at checkout, which will process billing, tax, fraud, receipt, refund, and dispute information under its own privacy notice. IdeaForgeLabs will not receive or store your complete card number.

Licensing may process a license key, transaction or entitlement identifier, activation status, coarse device label, app version, and timestamps. If you email support or feedback, we receive your address, message, attachments, and any diagnostics you deliberately provide. Email is handled through Google's email service. Please redact secrets before sending. We will not publicly identify you or publish your feedback, screenshots, or testimonial without separate permission.

Analytics and crash reporting

Origo is designed to send no product analytics and no automatic crash reports. If this changes, collection will be disabled by default, require clear consent, include an in-app off switch, and be disclosed here before launch.

Retention, deletion, and your rights

Local information remains until you remove it. Use Settings → Leave Origo to restore connected clients before deleting the app. Deleting Origo and ~/.unified-agent/ removes information stored there; Keychain items remain until removed through Origo or Keychain Access. Payment records are retained by the Merchant of Record under its legal obligations. Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary for support, security, and legal purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing. Email us to exercise a right concerning information controlled by IdeaForgeLabs. Requests for information held solely by another provider must be directed to that provider.

Security and international processing

Origo uses macOS security facilities and minimizes information leaving your device, but no product can guarantee absolute security. Hosting, payment, email, update, or licensing providers may process information outside your country under their own terms and safeguards.

Children and policy changes

Origo is a professional developer tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. Policy changes will be posted here with a revised date; material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
